What we need
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 chicken (3 pounds), cut in pieces
- 1 medium onion, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 garlic clove, crushed in a garlic press
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/3 pound cheese, cut in thin slices
Cooking Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet. Brown chicken on all sides.
Add onion. Season with salt and pepper. Add rosemary,
paprika, garlic, and chicken broth. Simmer, covered, about
40 minutes, or until chicken is tender. - Lay cheese slices on top of chicken. Simmer, covered,
5 minutes more. Serve at once.
