Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

What we need:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 can sliced pineapples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • maraschino cherries
  • 1 package yellow cake mix

Cooking Instructions:

  • Heat butter in a glass baking dish.
  • Drain pineapple, keep the juice.
  • Blend together butter and brown sugar, spread evenly in the bottom of the pan, arrange pineapples and maraschino cherries.

  • Prepare cake mix, substituting the reserved pineapple juice for water. Pour batter evenly over pineapples.

  • Bake, rotating dish. Rest 5 minutes until cake pulls away from sides of pan.
  • Put onto serving dish.
